2007 Selected Wage Study Released
In 2007 the City of Bessemer Industrial Development Board with help from Yvonne Murray, MPA student with UAB School of Government, conducted a series of interviews with local companies. The purpose of those interviews was to establish an understanding of the wages being earned in select positions within the City of Bessemer.
After compiling the information obtained from these interviews the Industrial Development Board has now released its study of Selected Wage Rates for Selected Positions in Bessemer, AL 2004 & 2007.

Master Plan for Downtown Bessemer Released
On Tuesday March 25th, 2008, the City of Bessemer Downtown Redevelopment Authority in conjunction with the Bessemer Development Board released the completed master plan for downtown Bessemer. This plan was developed by Auburn University's Urban Study during the later months of 2007. Copies of the plan can be picked up at the following locations:
